Anawangin Cove

April 3-4, 2010

this is it.. the all out fun and adventure we had this summer 2010 outing amazing :)

This is the first i call "DRUNK PLAN" we had, we were just enjoying each other's company while drinking on PJ's house when we decided to go to , that time was booming, Anawangin. The night we talked about it, (april 2), that morning we decided to go with JP's car :)

We left Manila at arount 4am with all the time we had we really did not bring what we need i just know that we have to bring two 5 gallons of water, because it was quite an adventure there according to blogs i read, no drinhking water, no signal and no electricity. 

We dont even know the way going there so we just printed out a map c/o Google :) We were 11 and the car that we are using is the Nissan pick-up i do not know what model it is all i know is that we cannot all fit inside.. so all the girls were inside then the boys at the back :) well sun gives us Vitamin D right? :) hehehe

When we reached San Antonio there was a big wet market in there good thing cause we really did not bring anything to eat hahaha.. then there we bought everything..  after buying stuffs we went ahead to pundaquit.

We parked our car in Pundaquit it was like a baranggay hall the parking fee is 100pesos per night. after parking we rented our boat for 1ooopesos for 4 persons but that was back and forth already and travel time from pundaquit to anawangin is 45 mins or less. This is what our banka looks like :) It really is a small banka so be careful and the waves are really strong.

Actually it was so "planned" that we only brought one small tent with us (good for one person) and forgot to buy some canned goods, well good thing our gay friends were about to leave when we arrived so they left one big tent for us, some canned goods, marshmallow, GSM blue and bigas hehehe, lucky ha :) thank you friends! :) (Mac, kim, abi and the gang ;)

The cove does not have cottages only tables like the one below :) so backpackers like us were pinning their tents as well :) Oh and there was a manong who asked us to pay 100 pesos but that was for the whole group already.

since it was quite early to cook for our dinner after and we are done pinning our tents we decided not to swim but to play "In-Between" hahaha who loses takes one full shot of GSM blue.

after playing and few shots of alcohol me, mayeth and lorraine with our dearly beloved Piatos onion and garlic flavor decided to go for a walk while some of us go for a swim, it was around 4 pm.

when i saw people were climbing the mountain i asked the two to climb there too and so were on!

that was one of the attraction of the cove for me.. it was stunningly beautiful :) no other words to utter i was just so beautiful. :) 

anyways as we move along lorraine tripped off the rock, her toenail were cut off (eeeewwwww) and her slipper was broken so with a toe injured i let her use my slippers so i trekked barefooted :) quite an adventure though with all those sharp rocks :) but it was all worth it :)

as we move along with me barefooted and with one injured toe :) we finally reached the top :)

since its almost sundown we decided to take a break and watch the as the sun slowly sleeps.

before we know it i forgot that we are out of the civilization and lights are not present so before the sun really says goodnight we decided to go down because there are steep cliffs on the way! so with one barefooted and one injured toe along we dont know if we can make it down on time.. good thing the kuya  that took our photo came and saved the day hahaha they helped us go down and even lead us to a short cut :)

and as we go down i noticed that the trail is getting steeper and steeper that you have to lie down for you not to fall in the cliff and to the rocks below it i was scared really not for me but for injured one good thing kuya is really helpful to her. and few steps away!! there i see the end of the short cut to end our life thanks to kuya and kuya yehey!!! we were alive and thanks to them our beloved piatos is still alive as well :) 

when we got down it was just at the right time cause the cove starts to dim and before we reached our tents we ran for a quick dip in the water and when we reached them boaalaaa dinner is ready! :) thanks to chef Chen and aljhun and jp :) hehehe and jerwin who gathered some of our woods to make a fire :)

We all know that in a place like this after dinner is drinking session :) too bad i fell asleep!! arrrhhgggggg!!! and when i woke up everyone was so wasted that all i have to is watch these two lads JP and Lorraine. And there started the untold story of the Champion named Lorraine :)

when the sun breaks the dawn we decided to go for a walk and i was stunned when i see this ...

the water in the lake gone .. then we realized that it was low tide :) 

five of us decided to climb the mountain again and this time watch the sun as he wakens up :)

i set this and was too slow to run so i was not in my position :) bleh

when we reached the top we had jump shots on this area and were tired of jumping ang jumping ang jumping a took a moment under this tree what Jerwin call a bonsai.

that "bonsai" was perfectly placed in that position ... if you go here take a moment with this tree and it will simmer you down :)

after a few moments in the mountain we decided to go down.. as we go down someone took this photo .. a stunning photo....

after a long walk and trek we ate our lunch swim on the rocky beach.. literally the beach has no sand it was rock not even dead corals ROCKKKSSSSS anyway its fine but didnt spend a lot of time on the rocky beach so me, Mayeth, Arlene and kya Chen went for a voyage LOL we went to a nearby island on the right side of the cove.. to get there you have to pass up many boulders, waves and lumot,  which i hate the most so i climbed up the rocks and go on :) 

as we reached the remote island with only bushes on sight two of my friends made their own legendary story :) hahahahahaha anyway the sun was really on a direct hit on us when we decided to go back it was so hot but its alright we were on the beach the heck! hahahahaha 

it was already 2 in the afternoon and we asked our boatman to fetch un 4pm so me and the others decided to drink and get drunk including jp the one who will drive us homeeee??  

4 in the afternoon i just have to take one last good photo on this cove cause i know that i will never see   that cove again with its virgin, untouched beauty..... 

...... speechless...

dont worry there was a poso (deepwell) water available in the cove what you have to bring is water to drink there is a store there but i will tell you its really expensive :) there's a toilet also.

the adventure was and will always be an unforgettable one hope the cove wont be so wasted that people will start to appreciate its true beauty. 

so i cant really tell our expenses here because we brought a car but i think 1500php will be worth it thats all in :)
